8 Times Actors Broke the Rules Studio Set

Actors Broke the Rules

When you see an amazing movie in the cinema, you may believe that everything had to go flawlessly and according to plan to achieve such a fantastic result. In fact, this is not always the case, and there are several cases of things going wrong and performers refusing to work together. Hotreview4u chose to gather these examples of performers who are just over the line to offer you a peek at the unexpected things that can happen during production. Let’s check that 8 actors broke rules of the studio set.

1. Tom Holland and Zendaya were specifically told not to date

During the filming of the last SpiderMan movie, Amy Pascal, one of the producers, separated Zendaya and Tom and gave them each a lecture on how to create a love relationship: “Don’t go there – just don’t.” “It can just complicate things, you know? And they all ignored me” she explained.

Regardless of the advice, Zendaya and Tom formally announced their romance in November 2021.

2. So did Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield

During the production of one of the Spider-Man movies, the producer who advised Tom and Zendaya did the same thing with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. The couple began dating during the filming of the 2011 film and remained together till 2015. It appears that falling in love while filming these films has become a ritual.

3. During a Marvel covert photoshoot, Mark Ruffalo went live

Mark Ruffalo started a Facebook live during a covert Marvel Cinematic Universe photoshoot. He provided a lot of details about what was going on and who was there. This is a serious matter. However, one of the most amusing sections of the film is when the other actors inform him that it was intended to remain a secret.

4. Leonardo DiCaprio was injured during a sequence but didn’t break out of character

Leonardo DiCaprio had to strike his hand on a table during the filming of a scene in Django Unchained. However, he cut himself in the process. Instead of getting medical assistance right away, he stayed in character and continued acting. The ultimate result was so fantastic that the take was included in the final edit of the film.

5. Marlon Brando didn’t come prepared at all to shoot Apocalypse Now

Marlon Brando caused a lot of trouble for Francis Coppola, the director, and the rest of the crew on the set of Apocalypse Now. He was anticipated to be much thinner at the time and weighed around 300 pounds. He also failed to memorize his lines and read the novel that inspired the film. Because of his lack of preparation, the production had to be halted for a week so that the director could read the screenplay with him.

6. Michael Gambon did not read any of the Harry Potter books before playing Dumbledore

“No point in reading the novels because you’re playing with [screenwriter] Steve Kloves’ words,” Michael Gambon, who played Dumbledore, said in an interview when asked if he was concerned about sequences in the Harry Potter books that weren’t in the movie. While reading the original work that inspired the film may appear to be a necessary step in playing a character, this may not be the case for all actors, including Michael Gambon.

7. Mariah Carey didn’t do anything in The House

Mariah Carey intended to make a cameo appearance in the comedy film The House. However, she was nowhere to be found when the film was released. The reason for this is that Mariah was causing a lot of problems on the day of the shoot. She arrived four hours late and refused to perform the previously approved scene or sing the song. The scene couldn’t be completed because of all of these complications, and the movie ended up without her.

8. Hugh Jackman didn’t get in shape in time to portray Wolverine.

Hugh Jackson, who played Wolverine in the original X-Men film, assumed he could get in shape for the role in three weeks because he had no idea how long it would take. Of course, that didn’t work out, so they had to rearrange the schedule to film his scenes later. In the end, the initial scenes were shot. And it took him six months to buff up and get into character.

Do you believe there is some space for improvisation in acting, or do you believe everything should go according to plan? So what do you think about the actors broke rules of the studio set in this post. Please let us know in the comments.
